Nina O'Sullivan is a Partner and Head Knowledge Lawyer in the Innovation Department focussing on Intellectual Property and Data Protection.

She has extensive experience of intellectual property (IP) litigation and protection, data protection and related fields, and has a particular interest in the life sciences, TMT, betting & gaming, and retail & luxury sectors.  As the Department's Professional Support Lawyer, Nina provides the team and our clients with up to the minute information, guidance and training on developments in IP and data law and practice, and the implications for their business.

Following the UK's decision to leave the EU, Nina has had a particular focus on Brexit-related legal developments, both generally and across a range of sectors and has co-ordinated our Brexit hub. Having specialised in IP, IT and data litigation at a City firm, Nina has also gained valuable experience in delivering training as a Senior Lecturer in IP & Commercial Law. She is currently an Independent Research Essay Adviser for LLM students at University College, London (UCL) and a visiting lecturer on the Certificate in Intellectual Property at Queen Mary, University of London.

Nina has written and spoken extensively on IP and data issues in all of the main industry press, and in the wider media, and worked with the Law Commission on its Report into the groundless threats of IP infringement proceedings regime, writing two Background Papers which formed part of the Report.
