Nina’s experience and knowledge of arbitration as her specialised practice area spans over 25 years. She trained with Herbert Smith in the early 1990s with a focus on international trade, investment and shipping. Nina has extensive experience of enforcement of awards in numerous jurisdictions, asset recovery and identification and production of evidence (cross border) to support international arbitrations. She was involved in the development of arbitration funding over 10 years ago and has significant know-how of current funding and ATE insurance products available to practitioners in the market. Nina’s experience spans also special purpose arbitral tribunals for mass claims. She has experience of advocacy before tribunals and conducting dispute resolution (arbitration and mediation) under the arbitration rules of the following arbitral institutions/associations: LCIA, ICC, LMAA, Gafta, CIETAC, ICSID, AAA, SCC. Nina was involved in some of the first BIT cases and is an expert on public international law in FDI and obtaining evidence to use before national courts in support of court supervision and provision of interim remedies. Nina has a particular interest in reducing the costs of the process of arbitration and multi-party arbitrations.
