Kati Rannala has been a member of the Financial Services Regulatory team at CMS since January 2015. Kati advises on a wide range of advisory and contentious regulatory matters for financial services clients, including banks, insurance companies and intermediaries, and asset managers.

From an advisory perspective, Kati’s work has focused on the implementation and ongoing compliance with the Senior Managers and Certification Regime, internal governance reviews, remuneration and Brexit planning. Kati’s contentious regulatory work has included advising clients in relation to skilled person reports, enforcement action and whistleblowing investigations. It has also included liaising with the UK Regulators on a wide range of supervisory matters and advising on customer treatment reviews, redress schemes and retail product misselling. More recently, Kati has advised on the regulatory stance on non-financial misconduct in the context of internal investigations and the Senior Managers and Certification Regime.
