Joywin Mathew is a partner in the Finance, Project and Restructuring Group at DLA Piper. Based in London, Joywin has extensive experience representing issuers, underwriters, funds and corporates on multi-jurisdictional finance transactions, equity, equity-linked and debt offerings and private placements.

Joywin's practice is focused on debt capital markets, structured finance, debt finance and green finance and the development of green finance in the emerging markets. Joywin has also written about green finance for a number of industry publications. Joywin is closely engaged with the rupee denominated (“Masala”) bond market and foreign currency bond issuances from India and Southeast Asia.

Recently he led on the debut issuance by the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB) of its INR 21.5 billion (US$ 312 million) secured, guaranteed, rupee denominated bonds (masala bonds), which were listed on the International Securities Market of the London Stock Exchange and the Singapore Stock Exchange. This is the first offshore capital market issuance from a State level entity from India.
