Helen qualified in 2001 and joined Penningtons as a partner in their corporate and finance teams in 2012, working out of both the Cambridge and London offices. She advises a full range of clients on all aspects of company law, specialising in mergers and acquisitions with a particular focus on MBOs.

She also deals with early stage funding rounds and investments for both companies and investors, together with general governance issues. She has extensive expertise in corporate reorganisations, including solvent liquidations, demergers and the implementation of other tax planning schemes.

Helen is also is a member of the firm's banking team, acting for both borrowers and lenders, and  advises on insolvency-related transactions, including acting for insolvency practitioners. She is recognised by Chambers & Partners as 'very knowledgeable' as well as 'professional, personable and approachable' and by Best Lawyers in the United Kingdom as a leading corporate finance specialist.
