Hogan Lovells

In recent years Hannah has been involved in some of London's most significant development schemes, including East Bank, within the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, the transformative regeneration of Brent Cross Town, and the redevelopment of Bishopsgate Goodsyard. The breadth of her experience means that Hannah can assist clients with the full range of planning advice on their matters, including reviewing applications and environmental impact assessments to ensure they and resultant planning permissions are legally robust, advising on planning obligations, and dealing with issues such as heritage impact, and community infrastructure levy.

Flexibility is a key consideration when securing planning permission. Hannah has advised both on embedding flexibility within planning permissions from day one as well as the options to revise planning permissions once development is under way. This has included advising a number of clients on the risks around drop-in permissions.

Hannah's experience in advising on compulsory purchase orders includes acting both for claimants, for example in the context of HS2 and acquiring authorities. She has dealt with issues relating both to the order making procedure and the thorny area of compensation.

Given the dynamic nature of planning, Hannah recognises the importance of staying at the cutting edge of the topic. As a member of both the BPF Planning Committee, and the Law Society's Planning and Environment Committee, Hannah is regularly involved in responding to government consultations, and discussions with those influencing the planning regime.
