Aleksander Bakic has extensive experience advising sponsors across multiple alternative asset classes, with a particular focus on European mid-market and emerging markets funds. He has acted on the establishment and operation of buyout, renewable energy, growth, infrastructure, permanent capital and real estate funds for managers ranging from first-time teams to some of the most successful GPs in their space.
He also regularly advises on co-investments, managed accounts and top-up funds as well as investment managers’ internal arrangements, including carry and co-investment schemes. Further, he routinely counsels investors in alternative funds, including institutions, sovereign wealth funds, international organisations, fund of funds, pension funds and family offices, on all aspects of their investments.
In addition to his work on the primary side, Aleksander is also a leading practitioner in the secondary space focusing on fund restructurings (including GP-led) and other, highly structured transactions involving direct and indirect positions, real assets, debt instruments, management spin-outs, syndicated and tendered transactions and deferred consideration.
