Matthew Baker is a partner in the financial services department. He advises a wide range of banks and financial institutions on regulatory and commercial issues that arise within their businesses.

Matt has particular experience in advising investment managers, and also pension schemes and other institutional investors, in relation to investment management and related matters.

He also advises financial institutions and other authorised firms on matters relating to: interpretation of UK rules and regulatory requirements; negotiating and developing new business opportunities; establishing and structuring new business operations in the United Kingdom; compliance matters; asset management and custody arrangements; establishment and operation of fund management businesses; and transactional support on the acquisition, disposal and reorganisation of regulated businesses or institutions.
