Sharon is a specialist UK and EU competition lawyer, recognised in the Financial Times' 50 Female Future Leaders list in 2018.  She has experience of working in London and Brussels on all aspects of UK and EU competition law.

As a leading member of the Freshfields' global TMT and Digital practice, Sharon has particular experience in advising technology, digital platform and payments businesses on contentious and non-contentious matters before the European Commission, the UK Competition and Markets Authority and the English High Court, including on the intersection of competition law with intellectual property law.

Sharon is a Visiting Professor at Kings College London where she co-teaches the LLM Advanced Patent Competition Law Module, focusing in particular on standard essential technology patents.  She is also a Non-Executive Director and Trustee of Rosa – the UK Fund for Women and Girls, as well as a previous chair of the Freshfields London Women’s Network, of which she is also a founding member.
