Sean joined Lewis Silkin as a trainee, qualifying into the Employment, Immigration and Reward division.

Sean advises employers on the whole range of general employment issues: from hiring to firing and everything in-between. This includes drafting and reviewing policies, helping clients with family-friendly issues such as maternity, paternity and shared parental leave, advising on performance issues and terminations, as well as assisting clients with restructurings and redundancies. He has a particular interest in data privacy law – a significant part of his practice consists of advising employers on how best to comply with data privacy legislation. He is also CIPP/E qualified.

Sean's client base is broad, and includes various organisations across the professional and financial services sectors. His work is international and, as Lewis Silkin is part of the global Ius Laboris alliance of HR lawyers, often involves managing international projects.

Prior to joining Lewis Silkin, Sean studied History at Durham University.
