Sarah has considerable experience advising clients on the full range of employment matters. For example, she regularly appears in and advises clients on Employment Tribunal matters, particularly in the areas of discrimination and whistleblowing, and in respect of bonus claims. She also has significant experience advising on complex disciplinary and grievance matters, negotiating and drafting contracts of employment, and handling significant corporate transactions. Sarah is also a regular contributor to employment journals such as Practical Law, and is frequently quoted in the press. Prior to working at Allen & Overy, Sarah spent two years as an in-house employment lawyer where she developed a practical and commercial approach to problem solving in a unionised workforce. Sarah has recently worked with: - Barclays Capital on a race discrimination and constructive dismissal claim in the Employment Tribunal - KBC on its disposal of its Global Convertible Bond and Asian Equity Derivatives businesses to Daiwa Capital Markets - HSBC on a sex discrimination, whistleblowing and unfair dismissal Employment Tribunal claim - Nationwide Building Society on its acquisition of Portman Building Society, Cheshire Building Society, Derbyshire Building Society and partial acquisition of Dunfermline Building Society
