Priya is a busy and experienced specialist in immigration and asylum law. She appears very regularly before the First-Tier Tribunal and Upper Tribunal, Immigration and Asylum Chambers and the Administrative Court. She has an expanding practice in the Court of Appeal.

She is frequently instructed in appeals against decisions of the First-Tier Tribunal and Upper Tribunal, and in judicial review and administrative review challenges against decisions of the Secretary of State.

Within her areas of practice her work includes refugee and human rights claims, trafficking claims, family and private life claims, deportations including Operation Nexus cases, bails, European applications, entry clearance matters, points-based system cases, interim relief applications, unlawful detention claims, civil penalties for illegal workers, asylum support and unaccompanied and age-disputed migrant children.

She has a particular interest in and experience of cases involving domestic violence, mental health issues and vulnerable clients. She regularly provides in-house training and seminars on domestic violence. She has completed a Mental Health Law Accreditation Course and is known to have a very calming and reassuring manner with clients with complex health issues.
