Michael Allum is a Partner at iFLG. Michael works predominantly in the divorce, forum and finance team. He has a wide breadth of knowledge in all issues following the breakdown of a relationship.
Much of Michael’s work involves complex international issues and/or high net worth cases. He has a particular interest in jurisdictional issues and forum disputes. Michael also undertakes a lot of cases involving financial provision in the English court following an overseas divorce (known as Part III) and obtaining English pension sharing orders when divorce and financial proceedings are taking place in another country. He attends Court on a regular basis, both as an advocate and with Counsel, in London and in the provinces. Michael also writes articles of current interest for the legal profession, has given lectures and presented a number of podcasts on topical legal issues. He also co-authored the firm’s response to the Law Commission report into the enforcement of financial orders made within family proceedings.
