Eleonor Duhs was a senior lawyer at the Department for Exiting the European Union.  She was the lead lawyer on the core provisions on the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 and led on aspects of the EU-UK Withdrawal Agreement and the Framework for the Future EU-UK relationship.  She negotiated the General Data Protection Regulation in Brussels and was a senior lawyer in the EU law team in the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office. She is currently a Director (Barrister) at Fieldfisher LLP where she advises governments, public sector bodies and businesses on the implications of Brexit.  She regularly speaks about Brexit in the media and at national and international conferences.  She is the co-author with Indira Rao of Retained EU Law: A practical guide (2021), London: The Law Society.
