Alex works with family businesses, family offices and wealthy families, supporting them through periods of transition and advising on issues of governance and succession. In particular, her focus is on helping families define their goals and establish the structures, processes and relationships that enable them to achieve lasting success across generations.

Her clients are mostly entrepreneurial families with a mixture of businesses and investments, although over the past decade she has worked with a wide range of individuals and institutions, from small ‘founder-entrepreneur’ businesses to some of the largest privately held organisations in the world.

Her background is as a Chartered Accountant, and she also holds a masters in Organisational and Social Psychology from the London School of Economics. She unites these skillsets to address the complex challenges and opportunities that arise for family enterprises where family and business are linked.

Alongside working directly with clients, she regularly speaks and writes about family businesses; recent engagements include lecturing at Cambridge University and Imperial College London.
