I am a dispute resolution specialist, dealing with corporate/commercial disputes and contested trusts and estates, working principally in our Northern offices, but across the firm generally. I have particular expertise in resolving issues in the charitable, private wealth and sport sectors. Commercial matters where I can help include shareholder disputes, breach of warranty claims, corporate governance matters, procurement disputes and general commercial problems. In the contentious trusts and estates field, I have expertise in all sorts of disputes for trustees, beneficiaries and affected third parties. I regularly act for charity clients in relation to regulatory matters (serious incident reports, dealing with the Charity Commission), advising in relation to constitutional issues, assisting trustees in understanding their duties and responsibilities, and helping resolve commercial disputes and contentious legacy and trust matters. I also act for sports people and sports bodies in litigation of all sorts, including negligence claims against advisers, tax disputes and wider commercial disputes.
