Shabnam is a senior associate in the property team.

She specialises in lease extension and enfranchisement matters, primarily under the Leasehold Reform Housing and Urban Development Act 1993.

Shabnam has extensive knowledge and experience of advising on a wide range of areas of landlord and tenant law, from service charge disputes to major works issues to the right to manage.

Having worked for the Leasehold Advisory Service for 14 years as an adviser and manager, she has an excellent understanding of residential leasehold law and a wealth of experience of dealing with a variety of clients. She is able to express complex legal issues to clients in a clear and easy to understand way. Many clients and colleagues have commented on her ability to deal with clients in a calm and empathetic way ensuring they understand their options. Being a qualified mediator has helped develop Shabnam's impressive client care skills.

Shabnam has contributed to outreach events speaking to groups of clients ranging from leaseholders in a block, to helping MPs with advice surgeries right through to presenting at LEASE's own leaseholder conferences.

Shabnam joined Russell-Cooke in September 2015 following its merger with Alan Edwards & Co.
