Patrick trained with London West End law firm Offenbach & Co 1973-1976 where he dealt with crime, family and civil liberties cases. Patrick qualified as a solicitor in 1977 when he founded Hodge Jones & Allen in Camden with Henry Hodge and Peter Jones. He was the firm’s Managing Partner and has combined this role with the position of Senior Partner following Henry's retirement in 1998.
Patrick has managed the firms expansion from 4 to 180 staff members over the last 32 years and the big move to new premises in Euston in 2007.
Patrick specialises in complex personal injury and multi-party cases. He was the leader of the HJA team managing Gulf War illness claims for UK veterans and the New Cross Fire inquest. He has also managed the MMR and Sheep Dip multi-party actions and played a lead role in the King's Cross Fire and Marchioness Litigation on behalf of claimants.
Patrick has a long standing involvement with the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL). He was Vice President of APIL 2001-3, President of APIL 2003-2004 and APIL Law Society Council Member 2002-2006.
Patrick sits as a Deputy District Judge and is a member of the Law Society Civil Justice Committee.
