Ms Geraldine Andrews QC

Geraldine Andrews QC

Essex Court Chambers

Geraldine Andrews has a broad based practice in international and commercial law, and regularly appears in the Commercial Court, but is equally experienced in cases whose subject-matter is more appropriate for determination in the Chancery Division. Many of her instructions from outside Europe relate to commercial disputes in the Far East and mainland China, and she regularly advises law firms in Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia.

She has also appeared as leading counsel in high profile cases in such other fields as insurance, asset-tracing, and restitution. She is an experienced trial advocate, with a reputation as a formidable cross-examiner, but is equally at home arguing points of law in the High Court and in the appellate courts. She has recently argued cases in the House of Lords and Privy Council, and appears regularly in the Court of Appeal, where she has a good success rate.
