Liz is a partner in our International Employment Group, based in London. She advises on all aspects of contentious and non-contentious matters with clients in a wide range of sectors including airlines, advertising, information technology, financial services and manufacturing, and she also acts for executives. Liz regularly advises on the TUPE regulations and their application to commercial transactions and outsourcing arrangements. She advises extensively on a wide range of issues, including executive terminations, general employment-related issues such as redundancy programmes, varying terms and conditions and disciplinary matters and union recognition disputes including representation at CAC hearings. She also acts for clients in Employment Tribunal proceedings, appeals to the Employment Appeals Tribunal and the Court of Appeal, as well as High Court claims. A substantial part of her practice involves advising employers how to protect their confidential information, intellectual property rights, client base and workforce through legal and practical measures. Liz has extensive experience in the discrimination field. She has written widely on topical employment law issues in the national press including The Times, and has appeared on BBC News and on radio commenting on such topics. She is the diversity partner for Bird & Bird LLP and is actively involved in our social mobility programmes including Pioneer and PRIME.
