Alastair Brown is a senior associate based in the London office of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, who focuses on M&A, private equity transactions, management incentivisation and other corporate matters for private equity sponsors, financial investors and multinational corporates in cross-border transactions across a range of sectors. He was previously seconded to Freshfields' Hong Kong office in 2009 and from 2013 to 2015, where he acted on numerous transactions in south-east Asia and China. Most recently, Alastair has advised Formula 1, CVC Capital Partners and the other selling shareholders on the sale of Formula 1 to Liberty Media; Cinven and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board on their acquisition of the Hotelbeds Group from TUI; the consortium of infrastructure investors comprising OTPP, Alberta Investment Management Corporation, Borealis and Wren House on its acquisition of London City Airport; and Network International, a company owned by Emirates NBD, Warburg Pincus and General Atlantic, on its acquisition of Emerging Markets Payments from Actis.
