Prize draw rules

1. This prize draw is organised by RELX (UK) Limited trading as LexisNexis, company number 2746621, whose registered office is at 1-3 Strand, London WC2N 5JR (“"LexisNexis”). The administration of this prize draw will be carried out at Lexis House, 30 Farringdon Street London, EC4A 4HH.

2. No purchase is necessary to take part in this prize draw. Individuals contacted must complete the LexisNexis Webinars Learning and Development Survey 2022 here: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/NSFHK8Z.

3. The prize draw is open only to current employees of customers of LexisNexis Webinars in the United Kingdom provided that they are at least 18 years of age older as of 6 June 2022 (individually as an “Eligible Participant” and collectively as the “Eligible Participants”). An Eligible Participant excludes employees, directors and agents of RELX Inc., LexisNexis, its parent companies and their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, suppliers and the immediate family members (i.e., spouse, mother, father, in-laws, grandmother, grandfather, brother, sister, children and grandchildren) and/or those living in the same household of each. To enter, Eligible Participants must complete, during the Period (as defined below), the compulsory questions within the survey. By participating in the prize draw, the Eligible Participants agree to be bound by these Prize Draw Terms and Conditions (“Prize Draw Terms and Conditions”) and the decisions of LexisNexis.

4. Only one (1) entry per Eligible Participant is allowed. Any attempt by any Eligible Participant to submit more than one (1) entry by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations and logins, or any other methods will void that entrant’s entries and the entrant may be disqualified. Incomplete entries are void. All entries become the exclusive property of LexisNexis and will not be acknowledged or returned. LexisNexis reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and Eligible Participants (including an Eligible Participant’s identity, age and place of residence).

5. The prize draw entry collection will commence on 13 June 2022 and will close on 29 July 2022 (the ”Period”). The winner will be the first Eligible Participant randomly selected from all entries correctly submitted in accordance with these Prize Draw Terms and Conditions. The prize is £50 in shopping vouchers and there is one prize available. The prize is awarded "AS IS." LexisNexis makes no offer of any warranty or guarantee, either express or implied (including, without limitation, quality, merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose) in connection with this prize draw or any prize. Prize details and availability are subject to change, in which case a prize of equal value may be substituted at LexisNexis' sole discretion. The prize(s) consist of only those items specifically listed as part of the prize. No substitution or transfer/assignment of prize by a winning participant is permitted.

6. Information provided by Eligible Participants in registering for this competition will be used by LexisNexis for the purposes of this prize draw and for marketing purposes. If you do not wish us to use your information for marketing purposes, please write to the Marketing Department at Lexis House, 30 Farringdon Street London, EC4A 4HH to inform us.

7. PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION

7.1 “Data protection laws” means all applicable privacy and data protection laws, regulations, orders and other legal requirements. The terms “personal data” and “processing” will have the meanings ascribed to them in the data protection laws, and where the term ‘personal information’ is used, it will be read as personal data.

7.2 Eligible Participants are responsible for the legality of the personal data that the Participants provide to LexisNexis in connection with the Agreement. If and to the extent that the Eligible Participants provide personal data to LexisNexis for account registration or otherwise, the parties acknowledge that such information will be processed by LexisNexis in accordance with the data protection laws and the LexisNexis privacy policy applicable to the services at https://www.lexisnexis.com/global/privacy/privacy-policy.page, except where LexisNexis is processing such information on the Participants’ behalf, the terms of the LexisNexis Data Processing Addendum at https://www.lexisnexis.com/global/privacy/processing-terms.page will apply.

7.3 If and to the extent that the Eligible Participants transfer personal data to LexisNexis in a territory outside the originating territory, the parties will be deemed to have entered into the LexisNexis Data Transfer Terms at https://www.lexisnexis.com/global/privacy/transfer-terms.page in respect of such transfer, whereby the Eligible Participants are the “data exporter”, LexisNexis is the “data importer”, the optional clauses are omitted, and the content of the applicable annexes corresponds to the respective content of the Agreement, unless the parties may rely on an alternative transfer mechanism or basis under the data protection laws.

8. LexisNexis' decision concerning the determination of the winner(s) will be final and no correspondence or inquiry shall be entered by participants, regarding LexisNexis’ decision.

9. The winning participants will be notified by email before the prizes are dispatched. Prizes will be dispatched via email, using the email address provided, of the winning participants within six (6) weeks from the date of the prize draw. All applicable taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner. All laws and regulations apply. The potential winner may be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility/Release of Liability/Prize Acceptance Form postmarked within 10 days of the date on notification materials. Noncompliance within this time period may result in disqualification, and an alternate potential winner may be selected. Return of any prize/prize notification as undeliverable will result in disqualification. The winner may be required to produce a picture ID or some other form of proper identification to claim any prize.

10. If a winning participant does not confirm acceptance of the prize within fourteen (14) days, the winning participant will automatically forego the rights to claim the prize. In the event that the winning participant fails to confirm acceptance of the prize within the fourteen (14) days, an alternative winner will be randomly selected from all entries correctly submitted in accordance with these Prize Draw Terms and Conditions.

11. There will be no cash or other alternatives to the prizes.

12. In the event of circumstances arising outside of LexisNexis’ control, LexisNexis reserves the right to cancel, suspend or change the competition or any Prize Draw Terms and Conditions applicable to the prize draw at any time, without having to give reasons for its decision and without incurring any liability as a result; in addition, LexisNexis reserves the right to change, suspend or cancel the competition.

13. Entries which are incomplete, misspelt, inaudible, or incomprehensible are void and will not be entered into this promotion. Employees, directors, and agents of LexisNexis and their immediate families are ineligible to enter this prize draw.

14. To the maximum extent permitted by law, LexisNexis shall not be liable for any loss, injury, claim, liability, or damage of any kind resulting in any way from (a) any errors or omissions, technical malfunction of any participant's telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment or software, or failure of any email or entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, telephone lines or at any web site, (b) the unavailability or interruption of the prize draw, (c) an participant's use or misuse of the prize draw or software relating to (regardless of whether you received any assistance from LexisNexis in using or misusing the prize draw or software relating to), (d) any delay or failure in performance beyond the reasonable control of LexisNexis, or (e) any negligence of LexisNexis or its employees, contractors or agents in connection with the performance of our obligations under this agreement.

15. LexisNexis shall not be liable to perform any of its obligations under the competition or in respect of the prizes where it is unable to do so as a result of circumstances beyond its control and shall not be liable to compensate you in such circumstances.

16. This prize draw, and these Prize Draw Terms and Conditions, and any non-contractual obligations arising out of them, are governed by English law. By entering, you irrevocably agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales to settle any disputes or claims arising out of the prize draw or these Prize Draw Terms and Conditions (including non-contractual disputes or claims).
