Employers’ liability update 2012

The Employers’ Liability Tracing Office’s central database was introduced in order to make it easier to search for employers’ liability insurance. It includes all new and renewed insurance policies from April 2011, policies issued before April 2011 which have new claims against them, and policies that were identified through the previous tracing service. The database will increase efficiency and speed with which all interested parties can trace insurers and policies. From April 2012 it will also include the employer’s reference number and their Companies House reference thus simplifying the searching further.
