Money laundering update

The UK underpins its preventive anti-money laundering regime with criminal sanctions in order to emphasise the importance of proper systems of reporting and control. Section 333A of the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002, which was revised in 2007, makes tipping-off in regulated sectors an offence which carries a heavy penalty of a fine and up to two years imprisonment.

Our speakers will offer you practical tips on how to successfully defend against the offence of tipping-off.

This webinar will cover:

• Threshold for suspicion
• When consent is refused
• Tipping off
• The dilemma for banks - Shah
• Problem of privilege
• What does the future hold?
